Happy Holidays 2021!!
From Mel, Chung, Zoe, and Ian
2021 was the fastest, longest year.
It was a year spent endlessly waiting for things to get better. They did; slowly. Everyone got vaccinated, and we started inching towards normalcy. The kids finally went back to in-person school -- they both love, love, love it. And Mel went back to work in the clinic again. Still, it was a year that flew by, while we were collectively standing still, holding our breaths.
Brief escape before school started...
Before in-person started, we spent a month visiting grandparents in Hawaii. Zoe had to wake up in the morning before sunrise to dial into her Zoom class, while Chung conducted his meetings on a body board on the balcony.
We kept the kids busy... mostly outdoors
We took hikes, went camping, had park playdates, and visited amusement parks. Zoe took her first surfing lesson in San Diego! And we also discovered Ian's... hidden talent for hula hoops?!
A better 2022?
We are incredibly blessed to have had the year we did, thanks to amazing grandparents, friends, and neighbors. Even as Covid stubbornly holds on, life goes on, and the kids grow up all the same. We hope you had a safe 2021, and will have an even better 2022!
